"The ocean taught me to surrender, fostering trust and the release of pressure and beliefs. It became a place to uncover the genuine truth about marine life, beyond societal stereotypes. I learned that animals and humans can trust each other; it merely requires taking the time to understand them. There's a wealth of wisdom waiting to be shared between species." - Carla

The ocean is a magnificent place, yet not so much considered. In a documentary-style video, I share my personal connection with marine life, offering you a glimpse into my perspective and the profound emotions stirred by the ocean.

Ocean

In 2021, I got into flying my drone, and to my surprise, I discovered a whole marine world right near my home in Bondi. It was mind-blowing to find so much sea life just 10 minutes away. The ocean at Bondi turned out to be even more vibrant and alive than I had ever thought. Realizing that this beauty was practically on my doorstep and I hadn't noticed it hit me hard. That's when I decided to make it my mission to share what I was witnessing and to spread awareness about our amazing ocean, a home to incredible creatures and their families.

I made this video when I was 17 years old. The footage showcases the best underwater experiences I had in French Polynesia and Hawaii.

Recalling those moments gives me chills, underscoring my profound love for the ocean. It's a realm where presence is paramount—a space revealing another world intertwined with ours, often forgotten.

In 2021, I crafted my inaugural documentary, focusing on Jason, also known as Drone Shark App. Despite our brief acquaintance of just a few weeks, our connection deepened swiftly. During my initial spiritual awakening, Jason played a pivotal role, guiding me through this transformative phase with his profound insights and personal narrative.

Impressed and inspired by Jason's journey, I sought permission to create a short documentary about his life and accomplishments. The decision carried substantial pressure, given Jason's high-profile status; I was determined not to fall short of his expectations. Here are Jason's words after making the documentary: "A young girl by the name of Carla approached me as she loved what I do and wanted to create a short DOCO for her studies to which I accepted. I’m so glad I did because she articulated my vision perfectly , it actually brought me to tears when I watched it and I just had to share. RICH MAN does not refer to having money $$ , it refers to having a purpose , being grateful and living in the moment and most importantly loving yourself. Thanks so much Carla for a great job. All the footage you see here is hers so go on and give her a follow."

After Jason shared the documentary on his socials, it hit a remarkable 20,000 views across Facebook and Instagram. This initial foray into documentary filmmaking marked a significant personal and professional growth for me. The experience solidified a lasting connection between Jason and me, and we continue to stay in touch today.
